SLOW FOOD PRESIDIA
VALUE & EQUALITY DISTRIBUTED
In the conventional agri-food system there is an invisible mechanism: Those who produce more get less. Agromafia, caporalato and long, opaque supply chains push prices
at the source — often below the real production costs — while margins pile up along the chain, far away from the fields. We do not work with any of these systems.
If you pay a little more, that extra stays in the right place.
Slow Food Presidia are small-scale producers of traditional, artisanal products under threat. Native breeds, local varieties, orally handed down, tied to a specific area that cannot be replicated – they follow
the principles of agroecology and respect biodiversity.
The right price isn’t the lowest. It’s the one that arrives in full to those who did the work — without getting lost along the way.
Every euro you spend here knows where it comes from and where it goes.
AGROECOLOGY
RURAL FEMINIST
There isn’t just one way to farm well. Among our growers are some with EU-certified organic, some who follow the principles of biodynamics, and some who practice regenerative agriculture.
Different approaches, same direction: putting soil health and the resilience of the communities who farm it back at the center. That means: no synthetic chemicals, soils with rest periods, rotating crops, animals integrated into the farm system — because a healthy field and a stable community belong together.
75% of our products are made by women. That isn’t symbolic — it’s political. — Women produce almost half of the world’s food, but own less than 15% of the land (FAO / UN Women, 2023) — In Europe, only 3 out of 10 farms are run by women (EU CAP Network, 2024) — In rural crafts, women preserve the knowledge — and are the last to be
